A Sunday in DUMBO!

Hi Friends!
Sorry I've been MIA... so much madness going on, but I miss you all soooo much.
Feb went by too quickly. I am still trying to catch up with all the collections shown during fashion week in NYC, London, Milan, and now Paris.
Below is a shoot I did last week in Brooklyn with my friend/photographer Greg Anderson.
Although it's still chilly in New York, we lucked out with a beautiful sunny day. And at the end of the shoot we ate at Bubbys. Yum O! (Sorry, no pics at Bubbys, we were starving)
Love the rustic, industrial, old New York feel that DUMBO has to offer.
You've probably noticed that I <3 Grafitti, must be the New Yorker in me.
It has attitude and there's something comforting about it...

Hope you like these!

On what I wore:
These two outfits are basically a mixture of Winter and Spring. I am dying for Spring to be here!!!
Its been such a wildly cold Winter that I can't wait to take off the layers and show my toes (I lie, haha dont like my toes!!=))

I am wearing my fave leopard print faux fur coat that I've been rocking all Winter and my edgy boots that are super comfy. I mixed these Winter favorites with some favorite Spring brights.
Love the bright neon colors that are going to be so in this Spring. Color blocking will be key, but wanted to tone it down for Winter by mixing it with my two favorite prints this winter Leopard and Stripes.
So excited that Stripes will continue through Spring.

I am also in love with bright lips. Loving the bright pink and orange lips. I've realized that I am more of an orange gal. I'm obsessed with the color I am wearing in these pics, it is Stila Longwear Lip Color in Outrageous.

What are your thoughts on these outfits?! Are you rocking bright lips this Spring?

Last weekend we had a beautiful Sunday afternoon at the Brooklyn Bridge.
I had a photo shoot thanks to Teresa Lo, my dear friend who shot these great images.
How appropriate! Right in time for Valentine's Day <3

I am also grateful for great friendships. I have wonderful friends that I connect with in so many ways.
One of the greatest joys in life is being able to bond with others one way or another.
We might not always see eye to eye, but I love and cherish all my relationships.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Olivia Palermo in Tibi

Olivia Palermo looks striking in these outfits for Tibi.
Above are my favorite looks!  I could see myself wearing these looks any day in the Spring=)

I am in love with the canary yellow maxi skirt and the beautiful elephant belt! Such an amazing belt...I want it now.
Also, love the Grecian inspired dress with cloister beading at the shoulders.
And the white cocktail dress with the suede khaki jacket seems so effortless but yet so well put together. The Turquoise beaded clutch with the daytime bling and the brown open toes booties complete this outfit.
Last but not least, the Americana look with the basketweave shorts and denim top is eloquently completed with the dramatic collar trench coat.

Love it all!

newsboy cap kinda day

Had a wonderful afternoon hanging out with my friend Teresa at the Ace Hotel. We indulged in a delicious heart decorated hot chocolate and cake balls (bday cake, chocolate, and apple pie flavor). Yum O!

Felt right at home rocking earthy tones that blended with the Ace hotel cozy ambiance.
The newscap in menswear pattern, olive colored ponte pants, tribal necklace, and last but not least knee high brown boots. I can't stop wearing these boots!! I love Via Spiga shoes because they are always so buttery and comfy. I just got them last week and have been wearing them almost every day.

knee high sky high

Scarf: Forever21, Leather Skirt:Goodwill, Knee high socks: Strawberry, Booties: Sam Edelman, Owl ring: nyc street vendor

Hi friends, sorry I've been a little MIA. So much going on and this weather has me feeling trapped: /

I can't believe is already February.
I love Feb because is my bday month, Valentines day, and Presidents day aka every year that I was in school I had Spring break! Oh how I miss those days.

But anyways...back to reality. I am super excited about my outfit above.
I had been hunting for a cute leather skirt and went to the Goodwill and found this lovely for $8 bucks!!!
In addition to such a great bargain, I've been intrigued about knee high socks, but had never really rocked them. In fact, I purchased this pair last year but never wore them. This year, I finally got the courage after seeing so many girls from Asia rocking them. I also feel like it might possibly be a natural transition from knee high boots in the Winter to Spring.

I was inspired and here is my interpretation! =)
Do you like them? Would you rock knee high socks?

Free People has me at hello - Spring 2011

I want EVERYTHING from Free People. They have captured so many of the trends that I am loving and dying to ROCK for Spring 11. Beautiful and mysterious gypsy and boho influenced captured with maxi dresses and skirts and a softer feminine side to these captured with florals, colored stripes, airy knits, and lace details wherever possible. Check out the following pics on some of my favorite looks.

Duck Boots - NYC Snow Storms 2011

I should have listened to Tommy Hilfiger and purchase a pair of duck boots earlier this year.
With the crazy snow storms that have hit the north east region this past month, Tommy Hilfiger fashionable remake are sold out and L.L Bean practical duck boots are out of stock until March and end of April for the insulated kind! ;(  These would have definately been a good excuse to put my uggs aside before they got drenched in the city slush.
